Good Morning Everyone,
Here I am, it’s Sunday morning. I should be working on my homework but instead I’m creating a blog. That’s okay though, I’ve been wanting to for a long time. I have been reading my friend Susan’s blog about her and her mother. She has given me inspiration!
Today, I’m doing homework and working on the laundry. The housework is pretty well under control I don’t have to worry about making dinner because it will only be Danny and I. I will probably make something small though. Recently, I have been driving for Uber and I have met some very interesting people. I love our short conversations as I take them to their destination. It is also very relaxing to me to drive. I did it for so many years and I really enjoy it. I also enjoy interacting with so many people from so many different walks of life. I have never met a stranger and I talked to everyone. Sometimes I don’t know if this is a blessing or curse.
I have a lot ahead of me in the next month. First, I have the impending birth of my first granddaughter. I’m so looking forward to holding that little angel in my arms and loving her. I know she’s going to be so sweet, I’m gonna ball like a baby. I also have several appointments. I am going to be doing my first hour of supervision for the CSAT. I can’t thank my friend Laurie enough for helping me find my supervisor. He was gracious enough to help me when no one else could. I also have an appointment to tour a local substance use disorder inpatient rehabilitation center. They are going to be opening a women’s unit. Prior to now, they have only treated men. This might open the door for me as a possible place of employment. But I will use the research I gleaned from the tour to also possibly refer patients. I am also registered to take the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor exam. I must admit, I’m extremely nervous. I do believe I will do well though. After I pass the exam I only have about another thousand hours of internship before I will be fully licensed.
Well, ladies and gentlemen that’s all I have for today. I have been wanting to write a book. Everyone that knows me and knows my story tells me that’s what I should do.
